About Bare Soul Wanderlust
Hi, I'm Gretta, and I'm out here living a great story. 🌎
I'm traveling across the United States, Canada, and wherever my heart decides to take me. My copilot is Lil Dude, a miniature dachshund who is spoiled to the core and convinced every adventure was planned specifically for him.
Our big goal is to visit all 63 U.S. national parks, but that's just the beginning. We're also exploring national historic sites, state parks, historic roads and routes like Route 66, scenic highways, presidential libraries, interesting towns, unique landmarks, and those little places you stumble across that never make it onto the itinerary.
Some adventures are carefully planned. Others happen because I saw a sign, took a turn, or thought, I wonder what's down that road.
That's part of the fun.
I'm here to explore, take photographs, collect stories, meet interesting people, and discover the places that make you appreciate just how much there is to see.

My Mission
My mission at Bare Soul Wanderlust is to inspire you to be the best version of yourself, as God intended.
I want to give you the courage to look within, dig deep, and do the work to break free from the cycles that hold you back. I want to inspire you to pursue your dreams and appreciate the little miracles happening around you every day, the ones we often miss because we're too busy.
I hope I can help you see them.
Ultimately, my mission is to motivate you to leave a legacy you can be proud of.
This is your life to live, and you are the author of your story, or perhaps the co-author, since God already wrote it.

Background of my Adventure:
Bare Soul Wanderlust is my adventure.
It started with my very first hike at Tanyard Creek in September 2021. I had no idea that one hike would change the direction of my life.
Arkansas became my spiritual home. Along the way, I found my Arkansas Sole Sisters, friendships that became so much more than hiking buddies. They showed me what friendship, love, and having people in your corner really look like. They helped me put my broken wings back together.
Then I started flying.
What began in Arkansas has taken me far beyond its borders. I’ve explored trails, chased waterfalls, searched for wildflowers, photographed sunrises and sunsets, wandered historic roads, discovered little places I never knew existed, and collected a whole lot of stories along the way.
Bare Soul Wanderlust Adventures officially launched in February 2025, but the adventure started long before that.
And now Arizona is home.
I’m still wandering. Still exploring. Still taking the long way when something catches my eye.
